Edelweiss Motel - Paihia

The outdoor space was spacious and well laid out.

The room I finally got had noticeable stains on the furniture and carpet, indicating a lack of proper cleaning. The musty smell was uncomfortable.

The room was large, neat and with a spa tub.

The bed was a bit hard in this place.

Perfect and peaceful position, we loved staying here.

The accommodation was good and Trsih & Jim were such good hosts. Muy husband cannot walk far so I had plenty of helpo with my luggage. We had to cut our trip a little short because of my husband's sudden breathing problem but they couldn't have been nicer about it even though they would be losing out financially. We had booked a unit that wasn't really feasible for my husband to access (though we didn't realise at the time of booking) but they managed to sort things out so we had a more accessible unit. Would definitely recommend the Edelweiss as a place to stay

Edelweiss Motel impressed me with its location, just a short 5-minute walk from the beach and a variety of restaurants and shops. The grounds felt inviting, and the swimming pool area was clean and well-maintained. Our room had a fully equipped kitchenette, made meal preparations easy, especially with a grocery store nearby. I appreciated having a large bathroom with a bath, great for unwinding. The staff, led by Trish, were genuinely warm and accommodating. They provided useful information about local attractions. Our experience was somewhat marred by noise from the living area above our room.

The Edelweiss was situated close to everything needed to make going from A to B very easy. The staff were friendly,( especially the managers) and went out of their way to please. It was just like staying with family. The spa room we had added a little luxury, but was not overpriced. It is a very comfortable place to stay on all levels. Bookings for any tours were made for us, plus a very personal courtesy pick up and drop off service to and from the bus station, and the centre of town.

Unfortunately, the weather wasnt as warm as we expected for September, and we found the heating a little limited. In retrospect, I originate from a tropical place, and would feel it more than others from cooler climates.

With finding great takeaway options. The room was well-maintained and spacious for my family. Keep in mind that the WiFi connection was a bit spotty. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the friendly atmosphere.

The location was nice and handy, just a short walk into the township. The room was nice and clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. We would definitely stay there again, it was enjoyable.

It's location was excellent. All the required facilities were available under one roof so quite comfortable and the price of the stay was not so expensive. Overall we can say that the stay was value for money. Really nice experience...

We had a great weekend the staff were helpful and the pool area was great fun .the rooms were nice and clean.

Just our shower was not up to much.
